Spiritual Disciplines - Part 1

This year I am studying the book by Richard Foster called "Celebration of Discipline: The path to Spiritual Growth". I decided to make myself (and the group of women I am studying this with) a reminder of each Discipline. We are doing one for each month of the year. So far we have studies fasting, praying, studying and Meditation. I am really excited to have these as a reminder of each Discipline I will have studied in 2011. I already bought a frame from Aaron Bros to put them in when I am all done. (I will post a picture in January 2012!)

I used the top note die for each one. I love that die!! Enjoy!

Prayer boxes

These little boxes were made to match the kitchens of the families in my small group.

The idea behind the boxes is to keep them on your dinning room table. Each night at dinner you would pick a card out and pray for the person or item on the card.

Some things named in our box are Missionaries, our Church, Staff at our church, our extended family, people in Japan, our neighbors, etc. My kids really love taking turns picking cards out of the box each night before dinner.

Strength & hope

My life has been dramatically affected by Breast Cancer. I lost my Mother-in-law to it almost 3 years ago. 

I am excited that Stampin' Up! is taking part in contributing to its cure by partnering with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
